Decorating Our Little Tree

Since we're still in West Point I opted to put up a small tree instead of a big one. We were hoping to be back in the house by Christmas, but it looks like it's going to be after the first of the year. Which is fine.. We're planning to blow up air mattresses Christmas Eve and patiently await Santa's arrival... I think I'm the most excited!

A week or so ago Campbell's class, along with many others, decorated the town Christmas tree in West Point. Campbell and his classmates made ornaments just for the town tree. The kids were able to ride in a bucket truck and hang their ornament on the tree. He was a little hesitate about riding in the bucket until Ella said she'd ride with him. He. Loves. Ella.

Campbell had a little Thanksgiving program at school in November.. Obviously it's December and I'm just now updating you on the past two months.. I know you're excited.. all five of you. Anywho, better late than never, huh?

Campbell and Swayze's school participated in the Boo Parade in town. We strolled around the square and waved at all the onlookers. After the parade they had Halloween parties with their classmates. Halloween night we trick or treated with all our friends in Starkville. We were the Flinstones.. We were accompanied by the "Tooth and Fairy", Mickey, Minnie and Little Mickey, Sally, The Cat in the Hat and Thing one and Thing two.

Campbell's first and last game of the season. Our seats are next to the guest band and he wasn't a fan of the loud noise. He was getting sick before the game.. we don't get the parents of the year award. We lasted about five minutes and left.

I was just checking out the ole' blog and realized it's been a month since I've updated.. Sad Sad..

A few weeks ago I volunteered to chaperon Campbell's class to Country Pumpkins.. Twenty something 2-3 year olds.... What was I thinking? Whew! All kidding aside, we had a great time. Campbell could have cared less about anything except the tractors. As we were leaving, he was screaming " I want that tractor, Mama!" I told him " I didn't have that much money" (when do they start to learn this concept?) He said it again and one of his little buddies in the back seat chimed in and said " You mama said not have that money, hush" .. Why thank you little man. You took the words right out of my mouth!

Saturday, July 30th we had Swayze's Christening/First Birthday in the country. It was PERFECT! Everything was perfect.. the weather, the ceremony, the food and all the friends and family that came. It was super special to us to have Lee perform the ceremony in the country.

Few weeks ago we attended the birthday party of Campbell's buddy, Nash. Let me just say.. I'm not sure who enjoyed themselves the most, the kids or the "big kids" (as we like to call ourselves). The big kids definitely paid the price for acting like "kids". We were all bruised and sore in strange places! Bottom line.. We must do this again.. ahem, KT.

Callaway Kids Start School...

Campbell and Swayze both started school first part of June. I was afraid after the first day we might be asked not to return... Not really. I was, however, a little worried how C would interact with the other kids. Apparently, he did well and we still are attending school. Campbell would never admit it, but he loves it. I could tell a difference in his language skills within the first couple of weeks. I don't have a picture of Swayze on her first day because I really wasn't planning on this particular day being her first. She had a little cold and I was going to wait and start her the next week. I peeked my head in her classroom to tell her teachers my plan.. one of the teachers told me children in daycare always had runny noses and there was no point in me keeping her home.. So I ended up leaving her too.

The kids LOVE the water.. They both took ISR lessons this summer. Campbell has already graduated and Swayze is still taking. These lessons have been the best money we've ever spent. It's so awesome to watch Campbell jump off the side of the pool and come up floating. No doubt, I would be very confident in his survival skills if he were to fall into a pool. Swayze hates the lessons, but she loves to sit and splash. These pics are taken over the past few weeks.. different occasions at the pool and various locations.

The ole blog-a-roo has been neglected lately... I know, I promise to do better and then I fail. I promise no more.. There will be lots of updates to follow.

We have been living in West Point for the past eight weeks. While the convenience of having a Wal-Mart right around the corner has been nice.. I can't wait to get back out to the country. There's not a whole lot to do with a two year old.. I hate spending time inside, but we just don't have a yard for him to run around in.. We play A LOT of trucks and tractors. Campbell has been playing a good bit of golf with his Daddy too.

Cooper serves as a honorary commander for the 41st Air Division at the Columbus Airforce Base. Friday, he got to cross a task off his bucket list.. Flying in a T6. He got to fly in formation with one other plane and then he got to take control. The kids and I had a tour of the base and then watched Cooper land. It was pretty awesome. Thank you 41st for the amazing experience you shared with our family, but most of all THANK YOU for all you do for our country!

Swayze-9 Months

Dear Swayze,

I can't believe you're already nine months old. Seems just like yesterday that you came into this world. You're such a good baby and you only fuss when you're hungry or sleepy... or when your brother pinches you, tackles you, pushes your head into the floor, or holds your feet so you can't crawl. I can't wait until the day when you can stand your ground and get him back. Your demeanor is so sweet, I'm not sure you'll be much of one to fight back. You'll have to learn to stand your ground somehow.. your big brother is a mess. You are crawling all over the place now and you have different variations of crawling. You crawl "normal", scooting on your booty while using one leg (like Campbell) and then like you're doing the breaststroke. The insides of your big toes have little blisters from maneuvering your way around the house. Everything you come across goes into your mouth.. your brother never did this. Seems like I'm always digging bacon out of your mouth.. maybe because your brother crumbles it all over the house. Your so ready for real food, but you only have two teeth. You do well enough to gum whatever we give you though. Thank you for finally starting to sleep through the night. I forgot what it was like to sleep all night long. You do still wake up and fuss during the night, but you soothe yourself back to sleep... no night nursing anymore.. just during the day. I look forward to every day I get to spend with you and your big brother.. even though some days are hard, I wouldn't trade you two for the world!

Every time I sit down to update the ole blog I get mad and give up. When I try to upload 5 pictures at a time I get a "bad request" response... After waiting for about 10 minutes! (Any helpful suggestions on this would be awesome!) So I finally sat down and uploaded two at a time... because I know I have so many people dying to see what we've been up too ( insert sarcasm here). Updating facebook is so much easier. Take a picture and post it from your phone.. How did people show off their kids before facebook phone technology? Is it possible to update the blog from your phone too? Notice we have all farm animals and a giraffe.. Giraffes can live on farms too.. they do on Campbell's farm, anyway. Campbell loves them! He can occupy himself with the animals for awhile.. He's gotten good at that...

I guess I'm getting payback for having a great sleeping baby with a non sleeping toddler. Campbell has been sleeping with us since October.. I know, I know.. bad habit. He would have no part of his baby bed anymore. I'm not sure if something bit him or he pinched his finger or what.. but he would not sleep in it. I let him "cry it out" for an hour at a time. Only to go get him and within 5 seconds he would be asleep on the couch. Now we're experimenting with the "big boy" bed. He loves it... during the day. At night I put him down, I have to lie down with him too (Another bad habit). I'm trying to break that habit early... sometimes threatening Swayze's bed (his baby bed) works... other times it doesn't.. Downside of the toddler bed? He can get out of it. He woke up four times last night. I could hear his little feet pitter pattering across the house with his blanket in tow. He peeked into our room and then hopped in our bed. I hauled him back to his bed.. stopping by Swayze's room each time and showing him the baby bed. He was up for good at 7 this morning. He went down without a big fight for a nap in his own bed... That's progress.. I'll take it!

What's with all this snow? The South hardly ever gets snow. Must be that dang global warming. I've seen more snow the past two years than I have my previous 23 years of life! Southerners aren't used to all this snow.. So what do we do when the meteorologist predicts "winter weather conditions"? We wait until the day of the storm and then try to buy all the bread, milk and eggs off the shelves at Wal-mart. Then we go home and check our cabinets to see what we have to use to slide down the hills the next morning. Drum roll please.. we use cookie sheets, tupperware box tops, large tupperware box tops, and even the tupperware box itself. Everything slides better if you lace it with Pam. When that gets old, we tie something behind the four wheeler and "sled". We did all the above except tie something behind four wheeler... We even used the top of Campbell's turtle sand box and slid down the pond bank. Had I been in the delta, I would have loaded up Campbell and headed to the levee.

I knocked out two birds with one stone and took them to the Dr. together. I mentally prepared for the day for about a week. Campbell doesn't like the Dr. much...ok, let's be honest.. He doesn't like the Dr. at all. I'm sure he's like most two year olds. The nurse opens the door and calls his name and he starts telling me "dough" or no in adult language. Long story short, he did really well. I thought he would have to have shots, but since we're not following the normal shot schedule, he didn't. Swayze did have her four month shots and she screamed. Broke my heart! All in all, we have two healthy kiddos! Thank you, God!

I never thought the day would come when Campbell would need a haircut... Technically, I guess it still hasn't come. He had about ten hairs on both sides of his head that stuck out over his ears. They was starting to drive me nuts... So we trimmed around the ears.. Which led to trimming other non- needed areas as well. I should have just put the scissors down. I didn't mess up his do.. I just trimmed too much of his little duck tail.. which was so very cute!! I tear up ever time I think about it. He's getting too big too fast! It will grow back.. Cooper says until it grows back out that I'll probably get the curling iron out and curl his hair. Thanks for the idea, baby! Of course you can't tell in these pictures that I did anything. The pictures just show how big of a ham I have on my hands..

We woke up Christmas morning to rain.. That rain later turned to sleet.. Cooper and I both said how cool it would be to have a white Christmas.. It wasn't an hour later and there was snow everywhere! Campbell at Two:

He is talking A LOT more these days.. especially since we got rid of the paci. We're not talking in complete sentences yet.. he still does a good bit of the gibberish and it's usually followed with "da-e", "dog", "deer" or something along those lines. He picks up on EVERYTHING we tell him. Most everything is Daddy's. His M's are B's.. ex. I'm "BaBa" not "MaMa".. I like it, it's cute. He's really starting to repeat what we say. Loves 101 Dalmations, Jungle Book and Shark Tale. Loves to play his guitar and push his trucks all over the house. Favorite foods: Blueberry Waffles, Bananas, Strawberries, Homemade Pimento cheese (will not eat store bought), oranges, Goldfish.. He knows his colors, but he is stubborn and everything is Blue!

Buh Bye Paci...

Truth be told, I've been dreading the day we had to get rid of the paci. Campbell had become rather attached to the ugly little thing. (By the way, Swayze prefers his paci but since it's so big and ugly she has to use something different and a little cuter.) Anyway... Ever since Swayze joined the family, Campbell has been walking around with a paci hanging out of his mouth and his "B" (blanket) wrapped around his neck. Cooper has been saying for months that we needed to get rid of the thing.. Campbell's teeth are just a little messed.. ok, so maybe they don't even touch in the front.. He's still cute. So, we decided Campbell had to get rid of the paci in December.. I chose this time because Cooper would be home for two weeks and I figured we could use teamwork... Actually I chose this time because I was afraid I would pull all my hair out and I didn't want to be bald by myself.. So why not let Cooper pull his out with me? And I honestly was prepared for it to take at least two weeks to get him off of it. Well, Monday I decided that it was time. I'm not really sure what came over me. I guess God gave me a little patience that day.. I don't have much. After a 45 minute ALL. OUT. FIT and I'm talking rolling around in the floor fit. The paci is GONE! Campbell has asked for it quite a few times.. I tell him we no longer have paci. His reply is "ahh" followed by "uh D paci" meaning.. does D (Cooper's dad) have a paci? Then we go through all the family members.. BeBe, Daddy, Mama, Cacky Pappy... "No baby, BeBe, Cacky, Daddy, Mama, and Pappy don't have pacis either." He then says "uh hayze?" "yes darlin, Swayze has a paci because she's a baby.. you're not a baby anymore" He says "ahh" and then we start all over. If I try to ignore it, he gets louder and louder. Long story short, the paci is gone. Next up.. getting him in a big boy bed...

Tuesdays have become a ritual. I go into town and pick up Granny ("Ganny" as Campbell calls her) and we go back out to the house for the day. She plays with Campbell while I clean. Those of you who know me, know that Granny raised me during the summers. Not because she had to, but because she wanted to. I spent most of my summers traveling with Granny and Pop. I have so many memories that I will always cherish! I look forward to every Tuesday. Not only because I can finally get my house clean for the week, but because I get to spend precious time with my Granny! Every moment she gets with my kids is cherished.. Just like the picture below. This picture reminds me of Granny's tender loving heart and the love that I know she has for me and my children!

Hello Delta..

The kids and I headed to the delta again for a friend's wedding. It was such a beautiful ceremony. Short and OH. SO. SWEET. I have never seen a couple so smitten with each other during their ceremony. They just couldn't keep their eyes off of each other.

The weekend was very eventful. Starting Thursday when we left the house. I accidently left Swayze at the house. I know I know.. Go ahead and give me the mother of the year award. I'll proudly display it on my mantle (along with my skeet shooting trophy).. In my defense, I was so frazzled as I was trying to get out the door. I have to do everything between feedings, therefore I was trying to get out the door as soon as I finished feeding at 3 and in the delta as close to 6 as I could. Campbell wasn't dressed and was running around acting like a wild child. So, when I finally got him in the car, I just jumped in and left the house. God was watching over me though... I stopped at Cooper's parents to load Campbell's tractor. Beth asked Campbell "where's Swayze?" I realized she was sitting in her carseat right where I left her. I spun gravel out of the driveway to go get her. She just smiled when I walked in the door.. like she is below.

Saturday night I locked my keys in the car.. along with Campbell's blanket. He is very partial to that one blanket. We tried giving him every blanket in the house. Nothing worked. A tow truck from Vicksburg had to come unlock my car. Two hundred dollars later, we were on the road back to Crawford.

Never thought I would say it, but I miss the delta during this time of year. I love seeing all the fields of white cotton. We don't have much of that around here. I attempted to get some pictures of Campbell in the cotton, he wasn't very cooperative. We also went and rode the tractor with Pappy-he has since had a haircut and no longer resembles Jimmy Buffet.

Atomic Elbow

I'm afraid we have a tough one on our hands.. Cooper comes in every night and he and Campbell wrestle. Cooper has taught him the "atomic elbow".. He slaps his elbow three times and then slams whatever is in his way.. while saying "BOOM".. In this particular case it's Kenzie. Usually it's a pile of clothes or all the bedding placed in a big pile. He doesn't slap his elbow in this video he just tries to pancake Makenzie... He has also been known to try and "atomic elbow" a boy who wasn't quite ready for the atomic elbow. Thank goodness Mom caught him mid air as Campbell did a crow hop and then tried to spread eagle the child. Little Swayze has to be tough.. her day of the atomic elbow is coming..

The First of Many...

Bumps, Bruises and Black Eyes.. The kids and I went to the delta this past weekend for a baby shower and a wedding shower. The trip was great.. until Sunday afternoon. Campbell was standing in the kitchen chair eating cheetos, when all the sudden his foot slipped. He fell and hit the corner of another chair. I wasn't a foot from him and turned my back for 2 seconds. We all cried. To make me feel better, I let two nurses look and feel his head.. I emailed pictures to the pediatrician and talked to her on the phone. Thank goodness the location of the where he hit is a very very hard place to fracture. You can ask Campbell where's his goose egg and he points to his head. The bump has gone down, but his eye is turning blue. He will now sit in chairs when asked.. Lesson learned

My mom stayed with me the week after Swayze was born. She was Campbell's 24/7 entertainment. Mom is not much of a babie's mom...she prefers Campbells size. Every morning when Campbell woke, mom would take Campbell outside to play in the mud puddle in the driveway. They would stay outside for an hour or so, come in, give Campbell a bath, and play trucks until it was nap time. She basically work him out! I think after the week was over, Mom was a little worn out herself. Today I took Campbell out to play in the mud puddle for the first time since Mom has been gone. I don't think he liked it as much as he did with Cacky... Might have been because she would get down and dirty with him. I chose to take pictures instead!

I guess the pink paci in the tub with Swayze kinda gives her away. Everyone thinks they look just alike.. In these pictures they do. Some days they look a lot alike and others they look nothing alike. They definitely have the same turned up little nose. Swayze looks a good bit smaller, but I really think she is bigger than what Campbell was at four weeks.

We went to the Dr. on Monday for her two week check up. She weighed in at 9lbs 3 oz. She's gained two pounds since we left the hospital. She was in the 60 percentile for weight and 58th for height. Campbell never made it passed the 40th percentile in height or weight!

Tiny Hands and Feet

I can't believe my little girl is already three weeks old! Time sure does fly! Knock on wood she is such a great baby. We've been so blessed with good babies. She fusses if she is hungry or if she has the hiccups. She has been a little harder to get on a set schedule, but I'm working on it. I fed Campbell 3, 6, 9, and 12 around the clock. If he was asleep, I woke him.. If it was 230 and he started acting hungry, I gave him his paci until three. I know that sounds horrible, but it worked easiest for me and that's what Babywise said do. He was sleeping through the night at nine weeks, so I must have been doing something right. Swayze, on the other hand, will sleep five hours at night, eat and then sleep for three. I wish I could get her on every three-four hours. I just can't get her feeding schedule figured out as to when she wants to eat. She's also a projectile vomiter... So I don't know if that's because she has reflux or I'm feeding her too much. I'm not an organized person by all means, but I like to know when to expect to feed. I also don't think she eats near as much as Campbell did. Is it possible boys eat more than girls? I know that's true when they're older, but what about newborns?

As I previously mentioned, Campbell doesn't like for me to take his pictures anymore. So what does he do? He tries to squirt me with the water hose! Since my reflexes are a little slow these days, he was very successful in doing so!

I don't think at the time these pictures were taken that Campbell realized Swayze was here to stay. He was very sweet in the beginning. Now he likes to steal her paci or blanket and act like he's being really sweet. She has no choice but to be tough. She has been poked in the eye and had the first of many books thrown at her.

A Boy and His New Toy

This was Campbell's "baby coming home" present. We talked about getting it for him for Christmas, but we decided what the heck. He loves it! He really hasn't figured out how to push the "gas", so we have all had our turn holding down the pedal as he rides around the yard. Campbell has also figured out how to dodge a picture. Notice how none of the pics are of him looking at the camera. He will not look at me if I have the camera in my hand.

It even has a real radio.. His favorite part!

Once known as "Carter Jean'' and "Julia Fisher".. After being in this world for two whole weeks we finally broke down and went and signed the birth certificate. If we have anymore children, I promise not to even discuss a name until we get home from the hospital... Apparently that's how we like to do it around here.. Bring them home with no name and refer to them as "baby'' for a couple days. Her name is in ink and it's final. We're calling her Swayze.

Campbell isn't too interested. He will ask to hold her and that lasts for about 1.2 seconds. Then he screams and holds his hand or head (whatever she touched) and says "eeewww".. Like she really hurt him. Lately, I feel like all I say is "don't touch her" or "leave her alone". He likes to flip her upside down in her swing and act like he is kissing her... Yeah right, I didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday.. He's already aggrivating her.. That's what big brothers are suppose to do, right?

Swimming Pool Fun!

Now that swim lessons are over, Campbell loves the pool or any type of water for that matter.. Pool/bath/mudhole ( post coming soone on mudholes and Cacky).. It doesn't matter, the child loves water. I'm willing to bet if his swim instructor showed her face he would pitch a fit though.. Glad those swim classes are over and I'm oh so thankful he took them. I'm very confident if he were to fall in any body of water he would know what to do!

Today is the Day....

Well... Cooper and I checked in and out of the hospital last night. Turns out, Baby C is NOT head down. She is acting like her Daddy already... Stubborn. We had the option of trying to turn her or scheduling a section. After much thought and deiberation we decided that just scheduling a section would be the safest thing for baby and for me. Turning the baby risked bruising her and I would be super sore. There was a possiblity we would have to do an emergency section or that trying to turn her wouldnt' work al all. We also spoke with one of Cooper's best friends wives, whose an OB, and she said she wouldn't try turning the baby unless we were in the OR prepared for an emergency section... That made me super nervous. My maternal instincts kicked and I felt the safest with just scheduling the section. I will admit I was a little hysterical.. having a section has always been my biggest pregnancy fear. As of right now, I am calm..We shall see how long that lasts. I'm scheduled to go in around ten this morning and have the section around noon. I know I have lots of people praying. I think I prayed every time I woke up last night. Please keep praying and hopefully, I'll have pictures/updates of the baby late this afternoon!

Baby Update

I know it's been awhile since I've blogged.. I have lots of pictures to post, I just haven't uploaded them to the computer yet.

Looks like Baby C will be making her debut on Thursday! Cooper has Wed-Mon off and I told the doctor I would really appreciate Coopers presence.. So, we will go in Wednesday night for the same procedure they did with Campbell. Fingers crossed it works and they won't have to induce on Thursday morning. I'm also hoping it goes as smoothe as it did with Campbell. Prayers are much appreciated! I'll try and get some recent pictures of Campbell loaded.. If not, our next picture will be of a family of FOUR!

Turns out Campbell was yanking our chain all along. He loves to swim... when his ISR instructor is not around. He will jump off, swim to you, and then give the sign for "please" and point to the side. It truly is amazing to watch!

I finally got the videos to upload. These are the videos from today. He actually turned on his own for the first time.... that's what we want him to do. He got a little confused and couldn't decide which way he wanted to roll. He wants to roll the opposite way of what the instructor was trying to get him to roll. Next week, we'll work on him turning on the side he likes, that way it will become more of a habit. As you can tell, he still doesn't like it. He's really not crying tears.. Obviously, it just makes him mad. We have two weeks left and I'm hoping by then he will stop crying!

Swim Lessons

I mentioned earlier that Campbell is taking ISR swim lessons... He still doesn't like going. I don't think he HATES it like he did, therefore we are making progress. He didn't cry Friday when we pulled into the parking lot... that's major progress. He didn't cry when I handed him to the instructor.. so maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel. He does whine the entire lesson, but I can handle that if it saves his life one day! The first lesson we both cried... I'm emotional anyway. He looked at me and gave me the sign for "please"... then reached for me. It tore me up. TORE. ME. UP! He has only had 10 lessons. We missed 4 days while we were at the beach. All the other kids have had 15 lessons, so we are a little behind. He is doing awesome though! Saturday was the first day he would even get near a pool since the lessons started. The first few days of lessons I was running around the pool holding him by his shirt to keep him from jumping in. Now, he just sits in my lap with his hands behind his head. We will started our third week Monday. I tried to upload a movie, but I haven't gotten that technical yet. I'll keep trying. I also have some pictures of him in the water, but I haven't uploaded those yet either. The speedo pic will have to do for now!

Baby's Kickin'

Yesterday Mom and I ventured to Baby's Kickin'. It's a 3D/4D ultrasound clinic. It was so neat to watch Baby Girl on a big screen T.V.! She was very active. I can already tell she looks like her older brother! She definitely has my nose. Looks like she has her Daddy's upper lip.

After the sonogram I headed over to see the Dr. Everything looks great. I haven't gained near as much weight with this one as I did with Campbell! Thank Goodness! I think I could have walked on at Mississippi State to play football! I guess chasing a (almost) 18 month old helps burn off those fried chicken calories! Baby is sitting comfortably in the transverse position. If she hasn't moved to the head down position by next visit the doc will try and turn her... from what I hear, it's kinda painful... can't be any worse than kidney stones! If she won't turn we may be looking at a section... which I really don't want to endure! I go back to the Dr. in two weeks and then it's every week! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by..

Beach Trip Two

Here are a few pics from our second beach trip. There wasn't any oil on the beach when we left, but it was getting close. There were a few tar balls spotted in Destin while we were there, but nothing in Sandestin. We had a lot of fun watching Campbell do his own thing on the beach. He still hated the pool and wouldn't go near the pool gate. I'm glad to be home. I have been out of town the past four weekends (Thursday- Monday) and I'm ready to clean house and relax.

I'm pretty sure he was checking out the older girls here.

Beach Trip One

This past weekend Campbell and I took a trip to the beach with my family. We had a lot of fun. Although Campbell wouldn't set foot near the pool... bummer. He started taking ISR swim lessons last week and I guess he thought I was going to dunk him. I'll post on the lessons later... All you need to know right now is he HATES them.. It took him two days before he would even put his feet in the ocean. He entertains himself very well, all I had to do was dig a hole and fill it with water and he was occupied for awhile. Sorry the video above is sideways. Trust me, it's worth the head turn to watch it. He is rather full of himself these days. Have you heard me say that one before? Below are a few pictures that we took on the beach one afternoon. My camera battery died after about 20 pics. We are packing up and heading back to Destin this weekend, I'll take some more then!

"Couple Arranges St. John Wedding in 24 Hours"

I can't believe it's been two whole years since Cooper and I got married. Wow, time flies when you're having fun... or when your chasing kids. Our anniversary isn't until Friday, but I'm leaving town tomorrow and won't be back until Sunday...I'm having a little anxiety about leaving Campbell, I've never been away from him for that long. I'm sure the title of this post has you wondering what in the world I'm talking about. Well you can read all about it HERE. It starts on page 5 and continues on to page 23. It's a pretty interesting story. I know some have heard Cooper and I tell the story before, but it's still fun to read the whole article. I find myself reading it a few times a year.

Even though the past two years have been a whirlwind, I have been so blessed. I married a great man who is an amazing husband and a loving father. I will say, never in a million years did I ever believe I would be married by 22 and have two kids by 25. I know it's all part of God's plan and for that I am very grateful! Here is to many more years of happiness! Love you, Coop!

Trip to the Delta

This past weekend Campbell and I took a trip to the Delta. We had a great time. Mom and I went through all my old smocked dresses that she and Granny made for me. Lets just say Baby Girl could survive the first few years without me having to buy anything smocked! However, I have learned to smock, so BG will have more than enough clothes!

I know I have neglected to the blogging world lately... sorry to those few that actually keep up with this thing. I have got to get better! I have been sewing a lot lately, well starting lots of projects and trying to finish them. My Mother's Day gift was a Baby Lock sewing machine! I love it, it does everything except monogramming! Campbell has got plenty of shorts, t's, and jon jons to last him through the summer. Like I said earlier, I've started smocking for BG. So far, I've completed two day gowns. We are going to the beach next weekend so I'm hoping I'll get some more completed. Enjoy the pictures below.. If you can't tell, I have a ham on my hands! He is so funny these days.. We had a great Easter weekend. Cooper cooked crawfish on Saturday afternoon for his sister, Liz... and maybe for his pregnant wife who craves crawfish. Sorry I didn't get a pic of you Liz! Campbell loves to be outside these days. We now have to spell the words "ranger", "outside" and "ride". If he hears you say any of the above he runs to the door and starts screaming until you let him out. If we put his shoes on his feet he thinks he is going outside... so he runs around barefoot until I'm ready to go outside. We had a great crowd out for a "country lunch" on Sunday after church.
